About The United Sioux Tribes Symbol

The symbol for the corporation is a star.  A symbol that denotes hope and the dawn of a new Indian awareness.

Each point of the star, in the form of teepees is representative of one of the eleven (11) reservations, which forms the United Sioux Tribes.

Historically, whenever the Sioux gathered they arranged their teepees to form a circle.  Therefore represents this tradition as well as the Sioux circle of life.

A dual meaning is also symbolically expressed within the circle.  In addition to the four (4) cardinal points of the earth, the design center depicts the four (4) stages of life which are: infancy, puberty, adulthood and old age.
