There are two ways to experience the Historic Adams House:
#1 During the Day Option
If you are scared of Ghost’s take a day tour, it is less spooky during the day. It is also a lot easier to see all the beautiful woodwork, hand-painted canvas wall coverings, stained glass windows, and some of the very first indoor plumbing, electricity and telephone service in this 1892 Queen Anne-Style home. Heather and I got a “private” tour earlier this summer after donating to a local pet shelter. We had a good time, and we were able to ask a lot of questions. #2 I like being Spooked Option
Deadwood History and Black Hills Paranormal Investigations host Paranormal Investigations Tours in October. You get to experience a real paranormal investigation with actual paranormal investigators using all the latest (and cool) paranormal equipment. The last tour we attended “something” poked me on my arm. I was tucked back into a corner of the room and no “human” was close enough to have poked me. It was pretty creepy, but very a cool experience. I would say the only drawback is getting into a tour group with some people that can’t seem to be quiet – mumbling while the investigators are doing an EVP recording, etc. Aside from that, it is really fun and a must do.

October 5-6, 12-13, and 19-20: Paranormal Investigation Tours of the Adams House – Join Deadwood History and Black Hills Paranormal Investigations(BHPI) for an exclusive ninety minute paranormal investigation of one of Deadwood’s most haunted sites. Learn the history behind the darker stories associated with the historic home and search for paranormal activity using night vision cameras, full spectrum cameras, digital audio recorders, parascopes, Ovilus, and EMF meters. Tours are offered at 6:00, 7:30, 9:00, and 10:30 p.m. on October 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, and 20. Tickets are $35 and the price includes a t-shirt. You must be at least 12 years old to participate. Ages 12 – 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Psychic readings with Heart & Soul Healing Arts will be available following each tour in the gentleman’s smoking room for $20 per person. Must be at least 18 to participate and limited to eight people per session. Advance reservations are required.
