There are two sides of the Haunted Fort Sisseston – A Night of Scares and Terrors, and Kid Friendly and non-Scary for kids. See below for more information.

New attraction for the 2018 Haunted Fort!!
HAUNTED SOUTH BARRACKS – Will your fears catch up with you?
Cost is $5 per person. Money raised goes to the Fort Commission to help purchase an outdoor sound system. May not be suitable for anyone under the age of 10 years old.
Also during the Haunted Fort:
- Buildings decorated and open for you explore
- Cast a vote with your loose change to the best decorated building
- Hayrack Ride with Ghost Stories
- Talk to the Author of Haunted Places in South Dakota
- Enjoy snacks at the Halloween themed Concession Stand
And much more!
A Park Entrance License is required for this activity. Please park in the South Parking Lot.
Haunted Fort- Kid Friendly and non-Scary
Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1 PM – 5 PM CDT
Enjoy the Fort as it is decorated for Halloween! Trick or Treat through the decorated buildings, bidding with your loose change on your favorite one. Create a craft or two, listen to Halloween stories and enjoy a snack at our concession stand. All events during this time is non-scary for kids of all ages.
Kids are welcome to dress up in their Halloween costume and enjoy this non-scary event through the Fort.
A South Dakota Park Entrance License (PEL) is required for this event.
