Dinosaurs fascinate kids and this place was one of my favorite places to stop when we came down from Beulah, North Dakota to the Black Hills. Dedicated on May 22, 1936 the hill overlooking Rapid City is home to a Apatosaurus, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex., and a Brontosaurus. Road Side America has a great article about this free attraction that is very interesting – “It is probably the only dino park that encourages kids to climb on all its displays.” – my mom took a photo of me and my brother Mark snuggled into the Triceratops horns way back in 1978!
