The Adams Company Coffee Crate
Description
Rectangular solid shape made of tongue and groove wood planks. Top has larger section of wood plank forming a lid with two perpendicular supports across top that end with two small hinges near back. Hinges and joint covered in plain cotton fabric scrap. Top center has a rectangular white label which partially reads, “ONE POUND NET WEIGHT / NUMBER 120 / PREFERRED STOCK BRAND / COFFEE / THE ADAMS COMPANY / DEADWOOD, S.D.”. Written over top in black is,”XMAS Decorations”. The front and back have larger full size labels in red, yellow, and blue. Text on labels reads, “QUALITY GUARANTEED / NUMBER 120 / BRAND / COFFEE / PACKED EXPRESSLY FOR / The ADAMS COMPANY / WHOLESALE GROCERS, / DEADWOOD, S.D.”. One label has black colored pencil writing reads, “XMAS / Trim”. One side stamped with black stencil writing reading, “THE ADAMS CO / DEADWOOD S. DAK.” which is crossed out and upside down writing reading, “.W. CRAWFORD / ALBION MONT. / BELLE FOURCHE”.
