Description Part A:
Tin box, rectangular with upright sides. Exterior is green and interior is silver. Along back side is a groove and holes for the lid hinges to fit into.
Part B:
Lid for A. Rectangular with shallow sides. Exterior is green, interior silver. The top is flat and is printed with text in yellow. Text reads “GIRL SCOUTS / OFFICIAL SEWING KIT / NATIONAL EQUIPMENT SERVICE / 570 LEXINGTON AVENUE / NEW YORK CITY, N.Y.” Yellow border around text.
Part C:
Cylindrical wooden spool with hollow center. Green thread wound around spool. Stamped in red on top is “J. & P. COATS / 7 YDS” and on the bottom with “J & P COATS / MERCERIZED 7 YDS”.
Part D:
Cylindrical wooden spool with hollow center. Brown thread wound around spool. Stamped in red on top is “J. & P. COATS / 7 YDS” and on the bottom with “J & P COATS / MERCERIZED 7 YDS”.
Part E:
Wooden tube, cylindrical with cylindrical cap. Green paper label around sides with tan print reading “‘Boye” / ASSORTED / PINS / REG. US. PAT OFF”. Top of lid has green outline of a trifoil with “GS” in the center. Contains straight pins.
Part F:
Wooden tube, cylindrical with cylindrical cap. Green paper label around sides with tan print reading “‘Boye” / SAFETY / PINS / REG. US. PAT OFF”. Top of lid has green outline of a trifoil with “GS” in the center. Contains straight pins and safety pins.
Part G:
Wooden tube, cylindrical with cylindrical cap. Green paper label around sides with tan print reading “‘Boye” / SEWING / NEEDLES / REG. US. PAT OFF”. Top of lid has green outline of a trifoil with “GS” in the center. Contains sewing needles.
