Starting Thursday, July 11, Scull Construction from Rapid City S.D. will begin the first phase of the deferred maintenance project in the Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center, on the Grand View Terrace, and Avenue of Flags. These locations will be inaccessible for the remainder of the summer and into next year.
Please ask the park rangers at the Information Center if you have any questions or want to know how to find the Nature Trail to get to the Sculptor’s Studio. Guests can still hike the Presidential Trail up to the base of the Memorial, but will need to return to the Sculptor’s Studio to get back to the Parking Structure via the Nature Trail. We encourage plenty of water along that route and remember your sunscreen on sunny days.
