Brandon Farmers Market, organized by Julie Lanoue

Where is it located and when?

Gypsy Trading Co parking lot, 515 N Splitrock Blvd. Every Saturday morning from 8am – noon.

Our goal is to provide a place for local farmers, gardeners and businesses to bring their products, and where customers can come and get a wide selection of locally grown and handmade items. Our vendors take pride in their products and enjoy visiting with customers and explaining how their product is grown or made.

How many vendors will you have and what kind?

Each week we have between 8 and 12 vendors signed up. We hope to add more as the season continues. Currently we have a large variety of products available including beef, pork, goat, lamb, cheese, honey, produce, homemade bath products, baked breads and sweets, fresh cut flowers, local photography, and potted plants. We have also had local fundraising groups set up for a market day and young entrepreneurs selling items with a portion of their sales being donated to volunteer and nonprofit organizations.

Are you still accepting vendors and if so how do they reach you?

Yes, vendors are welcome to apply by emailing brandonsdfarmersmarket@gmail.com, finding us on Facebook or by stopping at the market to see Julie at the Lanoue Gardens booth. There is a small fee for vendors each week. We are also open to local musicians and fundraising groups if they would like to join for a day.

How late in the season do you think it will go?

We will definitely hold the market through the end of September, and have been discussing extending it along with holding a Fall Festival in October (weather permitting).
